They re just relatively annoying and i can certainly feel that they re there.

It seems a bit early to. The last one will be in a month and my ortho will take my final dental impressions. Had my second last pre op orthodontic appointment today. I was handed this gigantic wad of surgical wax and told to use it on my braces and hooks after the surgery if i got any ulcers or if anything was poking me.

Due to copyright laws audio from this video has been removed. Especially when my lip keeps getting stuck on them. The hooks are sitting well at the moment i had visions of them tearing my gums up like the braces did but i guess they re already pre hardened to it now. Surgical hooks seem to be the modern alternative to wiring the jaw shut.

A tiny contrast from the teaspoon of wax i got for 9 months in braces. I have to wear just two bands one on each side and will continue to be banded for the duration of the orthodontia. Whoever would think to say that wearing braces is wonderful my teeth look clean my clear braces look great and i feel like today was an important step in the recovery process. It took less then five minutes to do.

So there you have it i am now back to wearing just braces and it feels wonderful. She put in 10 surgical hooks today which cost sgd 80 in total. Song is love comes by the posies. So it s like 8 bucks a piece for that tiny metal yeeesh. After she changed the elastics the surgical hooks were put on which wasn t really painful just a lot of pressure when affixed to the braces.
